Thanks for asking! I’m Cody Weisbach. I’m a doctor of physical therapy with over 15 years of experience helping people reduce pain and perform at a high level. I’m a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, a Fellow of the American Academy of the Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists.
I have worked with everyone from weekend warriors, to high level athletes and musicians, but most of my career has been spent working with normal people who just want to feel good for as long as possible. I’ve helped people with the smallest problems to the most complex pain problems you can imagine, and for most I’ve been able to help them find a way forward.
I’ve also spent more time with people in their 80s, 90s, and 100s than most. I’ve heard their stories. I’ve seen some age well and enjoy their full life. I’ve seen some age not-so well. I’ve also read the research, so understand the physical and mental qualities that maximize the likelihood of ageing gracefully and know how to help people like you develop those qualities.
Professionally I am the past Chair of the APTA of Massachusetts Manual Therapy Special Interest Group, where I helped physical therapists from around the state improve their manual therapy skills. I have taught continuing education courses and held adjunct and affiliate faculty positions in several doctoral level physical therapy programs. I have published in peer reviewed PT journals, co-authored a textbook and presented nationally on topics related to evidence based physical therapy and chronic pain.
More importantly though I’m good at listening, I love finding new ways to communicate complex concepts in ways that are easy to understand, and figuring out the small steps that can make the most impact. I’m obsessed with helping normal people like you live a better life.
